Universal Milwaukee Packout Side / Rear Mounting Corner Rail Set + Hardware Kit

£15.00

Universal Milwaukee Packout Side / Rear Mounting Corner Rail Set + Hardware Kit

  • Set of four mounting arms that attach with the Milwaukee Packout corner rails, allowing the side or rear mounting of items not directly compatible with the Packout kit, e.g. a plywood mounting surface, DIN rails, magnetic tool holders, etc.

  • The rail mount clips over a packout corner rail.  Two screws hold the mount firmly in place without drilling holes in the rail or marking it up with a set screw.

  • Flexible mounting options with two rear countersunk screw holes for a cleaner finish or an M6 retaining nut for an easily accessible front mount.  M6 hardware is provided.

  • Full instructions are included.

  • To attach the arms, holes need to be drilled into the back or through the front of the non-Packout item.

You're purchasing:
Milwaukee Packout Side / Rear Mounting Arm Set

The set includes:

  • 4 Corner Rail Mounting Arms (with pre-attached hardware)

  • 4 x M6 Square Nuts (for front bolt attachment)

  • 4 x M6 30mm Bolts (for front bolt attachment of items up to 18mm thick)

Colour options:

You can have them in red, black, grey, green, blue or yellow but can be customised in a different colour if needed - contact us with requirements.  Please select your choice of colour from the drop down list.

Sizes:

  • Rail Arms are 76mm wide, 50mm deep and 39mm tall.

  • Rail Clamps are 52mm wide, 23mm deep and 39mm tall.

  • Manufactured in strong PETG plastic.

Manufacture and materials:

  • The arms are 3D printed, which leaves a texture on the top surface and layer lines on the sides.

  • We design our products for strength and 3D print them for durability

  • The plastic used is called PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol), a thermoplastic polyester that provides good durability, heat resistance, strength and excellent printability for manufacturing.

Instructions:

1.      Attach all four of the mounting arms in the position required on the side or back of your packout boxes.

2.      Place the item to be mounted against the arms to find the correct mounting position.

3.      Mark the positions where the arms align on the top and side of the item to be mounted.

4.      Move the item to be mounted and place it face down where the markings are still visible.

5.      Remove the arms from the Packout boxes and place them on the rear of the item to be mounted and mark screwholes.

6.      For a cleaner rear mounting, there are two screw holes in each arm.  Note: Make sure to use screws that are shorter than the item to be mounted to prevent them from coming through the front, e.g. 20mm screws for 18mm plywood (bolts provided).  For thicker items, suitable longer 6mm bolts would need to be sourced.

7.      Alternatively, mark and drill 6mm holes to align with each of the arms with the 6mm square nut situated in each of the arms.  This will require a bolt from the front of the item to be mounted.  Note: Don’t drill through the 6mm hole in mounting arms as this will remove the threads of the bolt e.g. use a smaller pilot drill to locate the centre of the 6mm hole.

8.      Both 6mm botls and rear screws can be used for a more secure mounting option.

9.      Re-attach the arms to the Packout cases, either with the mounting arms attached (when using rear screw mounting) or attach the arms in the required position and bolt the required item from the front using M6 bolts.

10.  Turn and check all fixings to ensure the arms and attached parts are mounted securely.
